Marshall Senior Center Association

The Marshall Senior Center Association (MSCA) was incorporated in 1979. The newly formed non-profit partnered with District III Area Agency on Aging to provide services to Marshall's older citizens. In 1980 the MSCA leased a facility from Missouri Valley College to prepare and serve nutritious meals to seniors in the Marshall area.

Prior to 1980, a Meals on Wheels program was sponsored by local churches in Marshall. The goal of the caring citizens was to provide a hot, nutritious meal for elderly neighbors who were homebound. Meals were prepared in Grace French's home kitchen. She also served as coordinator of this program while many local church members volunteered their time to deliver the meals daily.

In June of 1987, the MSCA purchased a building at 72 W. Morgan in Marshall. The space was recommended and is still home of the Marhsall Senior Center.

Nutritious meals are prepared at this location and served to folks in the dining room and hot meals are delivered to homebound seniors Monday-Friday.

Recreation, health screenings and educational programming is also offered. For more information, contact us at 660-886-2933.
